The IICRC AMRT course teaches how to properly and safely remediate restoration projects with mold and sewage. Restorers will often start a water damage restoration project and find microbial growth during the drying process. Due to this, the AMRT course is often taken following the WRT (Water Restoration Technician) course. WRT teaches water damage restoration, while the AMRT course teaches mold remediation. For this reason, the WRT course is also a prerequisite for the AMRT course, and students must earn the WRT certification before taking the AMRT class.

The mold certification class is great for anyone in the restoration, cleaning, insurance repair and property management industries! Contractors, insurance professionals, property management, facilities engineers, mold remediation technicians can all benefit from understanding the mold remediation process, and the correct and safe way to remediate mold.
