The IICRC FSRT/OCT combo course combines two great classes! Students will take the Fire & Smoke Restoration Technician (FSRT) class and the Odor Control Technician (OCT) back to back. You will first learn about restoring fire and smoke-damaged properties, then move on to the odor control class. With complementary information across both classes, taking them as a combo class allows students to engage with the instructor across both subjects!

In this IICRC FSRT/OCT combo course, students can earn both certifications in one class! The Fire & Smoke Restoration Technician course goes together with the Odor Control Technician course to give you a well-rounded understanding of restoration processes.

IICRC FSRT and OCT Certifications Are Required for IICRC Master Designations
FSRT is required for Master Fire & Smoke Restorer, OCT is required for Master Fire & Smoke Restorer and Master Textile Cleaner.

Students must complete both courses using a phone or laptop.
Students have a 45-day window after class to complete the exams online through the IICRC exam portal. For in person classes, students will take the exam on the last day of class.

After attending the course, students can take the FSRT and OCT exam separately. Upon passing the exam, the IICRC will issue the students both certifications, and mail you certificates for you to display! Students are able to take the exams after attending the FSRT/OCT combo course with LearnToRestore.com.
How much are the exam fees?
The FSRT and OCT courses each have an exam fee is $80 for a total of $160.
Can I use notes on the exam?
Both exams for the FSRT/OCT combo are closed book and closed notes.
When do I take the IICRC exam?
Students attending the live-stream online course will complete the exam online after the class through the IICRC exam portal. You have 45-days to complete the exam after class ends.
Students attending the in-person course will complete the exam on the last day of class.
Can I retake the IICRC exam?
You have three attempts to pass the exam. Each exam attempt has an $80 exam fee. If you fail the third attempt, you will need to take the classes again before an additional exam retake. If you fail the exam three times and need to take the class again, we will put you in a refresher class for free!
