The IICRC Carpet Cleaning Technician (CCT) course is designed to teach the art and science of carpet cleaning to professional service providers, as well as others in related industries. Emphasis is placed on practical application, identifying fiber, yarn and carpet constructions, style types and finishes, soiling conditions, cleaning science and methodology, and other issues and concerns faced by individuals who maintain and clean installed broadloom carpet. When coupled with additional on-the-job training and field experience, students should be adequately prepared to perform carpet cleaning techniques and procedures.

The IICRC Carpet Cleaning Technician course teaches students the fundamentals of carpet cleaning, including cleaning procedures, carpet identification, pre-inspection and so much more! Taught by industry experts, students will learn from instructors who have spent decades in the field.

Should I take the CCT Course?
The IICRC CCT certification is a great place to start your cleaning industry education. The Carpet Cleaning Technician course will give you the foundation of mitigation and water damage restoration. Anyone can take the CCT class, there are no prerequisites or experience required!
After taking the IICRC CCT course, students can take the IICRC exam. After passing the exam, the student will receive their certification. The CCT course prepares students for the exam following class and, more importantly, for real-world applications.
IICRC CCT is Required for the IICRC Master Designations
The Carpet Cleaning Technician is a required certification to earn the IICRC Master Water Restorer, Master Fire & Smoke Restorer, and Master Textile Cleaner designations.

The IICRC requires students to attend the full CCT class to be eligible for the certification exam.
Students must use a computer or tablet to view the IICRC CCT certification class.
After you complete the online live-stream CCT course, students have a 45-day window to take the exam on the IICRC online exam portal.
In-person classes will take the exam on the last day of class.
IICRC certifications don’t expire as long as they are renewed.

After students attend the course, they can take the CCT exam. After passing the exam, the IICRC will issue a certification, and mail a certificate for you to display! Students are able to take the exam after attending a CCT course with LearnToRestore.com.
How much is the IICRC CCT exam fee?
The CCT exam fee is $80.
Can I use notes on the exam?
The IICRC Carpet Cleaning training course exam is a closed book and closed notes exam.
When do I take the CCT exam?
Students attending the live-stream online CCT course will complete the exam online after the class through the IICRC exam portal.
For students attending the in-person class, they will complete the exam on the last day of class.
Can I retake the CCT exam?
You can take the CCT class 3 times. Each exam attempt incurs an $80 exam fee. If you fail the third attempt, you will need to take the CCT class again before an additional exam retake. If you fail the exam three times and need to take the class again, we will put you in a refresher class for free!
