The IICRC SCI (Senior Carpet Inspector) Course prepares professionals for certification in carpet and floor covering inspection, starting with the fundamentals of investigation procedures that apply to all types of flooring. Students should already understand fibers, yarn construction, carpet construction, and installation, as the course focuses on advanced, hands-on skills including testing, inspection, and documentation. By completing this course, students gain the expertise to perform accurate inspections, resolve flooring issues, and produce professional reports.

In the IICRC Senior Carpet Inspector course, students go beyond the basics to explore the real-world challenges of carpet and floor covering inspections. The course includes in-depth instruction on lab and field testing methods, report writing strategies, and the interpretation of manufacturer warranties. Students will also practice identifying color variations, photographing issues for documentation, and collecting samples for analysis.

Prerequisites

The IICRC requires students to attend the full duration of class to be eligible to take the certification exam.
Students must use a computer or tablet to view the certification class.
