The IICRC UFT (Upholstery and Fabric Cleaning Technician) course covers upholstery fiber categories, fiber identification and testing, manufacturing of the fiber and fabric, chemistry of cleaning, 6 methods, protections, spotting and potential problems. A student will have a specific knowledge about fabric and fiber content, as well as furniture construction. This enables students to identify limitations and potential cleaning-related problems on a given piece of upholstery.

In the IICRC UFT course, students will learn the fundamentals of cleaning upholstery and fabric. From inspections to fiber and fabric identification to the science of cleaning, the Uphostery and Fabric Cleaning course will teach you the principles you need to know to effectiviely clean all types of fabric! The UFT course can be taken online in our live-stream classes. Alternatively, students can join us for an in-person course. After completing the class and passing the IICRC exam, students will earn their UFT certification!

Should I take the UFT Course?
The IICRC UFT certification is one of many cleaning certifications offered by LearnToRestore.com. The IICRC requires students to attend the full duration of the UFT class to be eligible to take the certification exam.
Students must use a computer or tablet to view the UFT certification class.
For live-stream classes, students have a 45-day window after class to complete the exam online through the IICRC exam portal. For in-person classes, students will take the exam on the last day of class.
The IICRC UFT certification doesn’t expire as long as it is renewed.

After attending this course, students can take the UFT exam. Upon passing the exam, the IICRC will issue the student a certification, and mail a certificate for you to display! Students are able to take the exam after attending a UFT course with LearnToRestore.com.

The IICRC UFT certification exam is a closed book and closed notes exam.
When do I take the UFT exam?
Students attending the live-stream online UFT course will complete the exam online after the class through the IICRC exam portal. You have 45-days to complete the exam after class ends.
Students attending the in-person course will complete the exam on the last day of class.
Can I retake the UFT exam if I fail?
You have three attempts to pass the IICRC UFT exam. Each exam attempt has an $80 exam fee. If you fail the third attempt, you will need to take the UFT class again before an additional exam retake. If you fail the exam three times and need to take the class again, we will put you in a refresher class for free!
